The Venue

The Barhatch Marquee

Cranleigh Country Club_Wedding

With such wonderful countryside surroundings, the Barhatch Marquee invites the ‘outside inside’ to create a very special venue. Situated adjacent to the Sussex Barn, the Barharch Marquee can comfortably seat up to 140. In the winter, the marquee’s temperature is thermostatically controlled, whilst in the summer the sides open up onto the beautiful surroundings for a true al-fresco feel.

The Sussex Barn

The spectacular 17th century Sussex Barn underwent a £3 million refurbishment in June 2009, tastefully restoring it to its former glory but also adding a contemporary twist. The high ceilings and low wooden beams give the Barn unique acoustics which make for an ideal location for a live band, or alternatively, an integrated music system. Furthermore, the fully stocked licensed bar offers a wide range of refreshments.

The Snug Bar

The Snug Bar is situated next to the Barhatch Marquee and is access directly either from the marquee or from the Sussex Barn. With large double doors leading onto the adjoining patio, the bar offers a private recluse from the busy atmosphere of the main event.

  • We held our wedding reception at the club in August 2014 and had a fantastic day. The venue has everything you could want, with a beautiful outdoor courtyard area for drinks (we were lucky enough to have a sunny afternoon), a large marquee for the meal and the icing on the cake - the absolutely charming barn conversion where the evening party took place. Planning the day with Alex was a breeze, we were able to taste test the menu and the staff were very accommodating to our needs, allowing us to come early to decorate the marquee and making sure all of our 'gear' was in place on the day. There really wasn't a single hiccup. The food was top notch and we had lots of compliments from our guests on the quality and service. One of the highlights of the day was heading out onto the course in a golf buggy for photos and as part of the deal we were given a spa voucher and free round of golf. What more could you ask for? Highly recommended if you are looking at wedding venue options.
